We have been focusing on the lupine plant as a raw material for a while, but the lupine is also interesting in a societal perspective. It is an endless source of lively conversations, most people have an opinion about it and either love or hate it. The Icelandic sheep has also recently become controversial. It has been farmed here for ages for woollens and subsistence, but recently a group of people consider it to be a cause of soil erosion in Iceland. We find it interesting to look at those two species in Icelandic landscape and combine them in a work of fine art.
